There was actually a tie between 13 Reasons Why and The Looking Glass Wars, and because I promised to make a choice last night, I wasn’t going to wait around for someone to break the tie. So I just closed my eyes and chose between the two. So, without further ado, The Looking Glass Wars!
The Myth: Alice was an ordinary girl who stepped through the looking glass and entered a fairy-tale world invented by Lewis Carroll in his famous storybook. The Truth: Wonderland is real. Alyss Heart is the heir to the throne, until her murderous aunt Redd steals the crown and kills Alyss? parents. To escape Redd, Alyss and her bodyguard, Hatter Madigan, must flee to our world through the Pool of Tears. But in the pool Alyss and Hatter are separated. Lost and alone in Victorian London, Alyss is befriended by an aspiring author to whom she tells the violent, heartbreaking story of her young life. Yet he gets the story all wrong. Hatter Madigan knows the truth only too well, and he is searching every corner of our world to find the lost princess and return her to Wonderland so she may battle Redd for her rightful place as the Queen of Hearts.
The rule are the same. You must be following me and you must comment to beΒ entered. Simply liking this post will do you no good. It would also be great if you could re-blog, Tweet, FB it, or whatever you social bugs have.

Next week, due to the tie, I will be giving away 13 Reasons Why.
Thank you so much for being such great followers! Good luck!
i love the cover art, makes the book more inviting. I am a fan of fantasy and I am curious how the author will make Wonderland real. One can get dreadfully lost in the pool of tears… I see some of myself in this tale, as what is real anyway when dreams are so fruitful and our material realm so limited?
I’m just going to say it is an amazing book. I am so in awe over Beddor’s creativity. It isn’t merely a re-telling, it is an entire re-vamping of his own vision.

Did not know about this book. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, for I have always loved Alice in Wonderland.
And as other have said, beautiful cover.
Wow, talk about an exciting looking book! It is now going on my “must read” list!!!
This sounds similar to “Splintered,” by A.G. Howard, a modern twist on “Alice in Wonderland,” which is def worth a read!
